Turism in Punta Cana

There Are Areas You Can Find and Have a Good Moment With Your Family

Punta Cana is a destination if you want to have a short vacation 3 - 5 nights and that is it… why? Because there are not a bunch a places you can go and ensure a discovery vacation, I know you can do exploration and see wonderful things like Dolphin experiences or learn about the Dominican culture in some places-ish destinaed to teach you eg: how to make organic chocolate or how to process dark native coffee… and other things like native dance… old houses similar to old Dominican style.

Public Transportation in Punta Cana

Since you can go on your own to those places there is a catch with that, there is public transportation butttttttt it is difficult for a foreign to wait for a bus full of Dominican people… wait times can go up to 40 minutes or more sometimes depending on traffic at Punta Cana because when an accident occurs it is a hell of traffic due to hight demand of transportations and people moving around there.

Traffic in Punta Cana

In my experience I have experimented hight traffic… as an example from Dreams Onyx to the Air port at 5pm going towards the airport you can probably last one hour and 25 minutes in 40-ish kilometers (24.8 miles).

With normal traffic you can expect a good experience and travel at reasonable speeds going 60 mph (100 kph) but you will see people going like they are expecting a new born baby or in mayor hurry, they may horn the car but is letting you know that you need to move or telling that they are near you and you need to pay attention.

Transportation Services in Punta Cana

There is always better ways to get to a destination faster or with calm or safe and this is why many people offers transportation to foreyngs because they don’t know how the public transportations works (we don’t recommend public transportation either but it is an option) and transportation in Punta cana works like this

You go to a web page that seems not to be a fake or scam page and you seed pictures of real people or contact them by phone call and some attends the call and do a schedule with you and share information about your flight number in order to have a proper time to wait for the flight and have the van ready to go when you arrive then when you arrive there is some one waiting for you outside the terminals with a sign with your name and you meet the person and that same person could probably take you to your hotel, I say it could becase some time the person you meet at the airport could be a representative that works exclusively doing that and it is not necessary a person who work at the airport it self

How Transportation Works

So in summary the transportation works like this

  1. You contact the company, you give them your schedule with your flight info and they wait for you the moment your flight lands.

  2. You meet the person with a sing and your name is on it

  3. You go to your resort

  4. When It’s to departure then you need to provide your hotel room number and a agent from the company you requested the service will contact you in order arrange your pickup an take you to the airport

So that’s basically it

Types of Vehicles

And now let’s talk about the vehicle it self

It could be a car like a Toyota Cammry or a van type car like a Toyota Siena or Hiunday Starex or it could be a modern Toyota Hiace

Transportation Prices

If you request an actual sedan the price could be more affordable but a van type car starts at 35 usd, it depends on how many are you and so on

Amenities During Your Transfer

We are one of those companies out there that provide the exact same service but with differences in amenities if the users says it wants it. You just need to look at the checkout form there is an unchecked checkbox box that explicitly says that with no extra cost at all.

What amenities includes? Snacks, water, 2 sodas or more depending on how many are there and so on, candy or dark chocolate brownies.
